1. Editor: Reviewed, edited and published more than 1000 articles. Generated 16 million sessions within a span of 3 months.

2. Content Writer: Written around 400 articles and updated around 600 (articles written by ex-employees of the organization). Generated 5+ million sessions within a 3 months period. 75% of the articles written by me are in the top 10 position in SERP.

3. Generated 1.3 million views on my answers on Quora.

Intern (2016)

IBTimes UK

The 8-week internship was part of my Masters and mostly involved desk work, like editing and stuff.

To be honest, there isn't anything to show from this particular internship.

This internship gave me a clear idea about how journalists do online research and write stories. Well, real journalism is more than that but my learnings at IBTimes UK has helped me a lot and shaped my research methodology as a Content Writer.

Graduate Trainee Engineer (2013 - 2014)

Aircel

As a Graduate Trainee Engineer, my responsibility, in a nutshell, included supervision of of around 200 Aircel cellular towers in Barak Valley. I had to work with site managers and technicians and ensure everything is working fine.

Aircel network in Barak Valley had 99% uptime.

This wasn't actually a blue-collar job. It involved travelling to the remotest areas of Barak Valley. One of the best things that I learned in this job was managing people.

From Ayodhya To Kashmir Via Bombay: My thesis for Masters deals with the portrayal of Muslims in Hindi Cinema post Hindutva. Starting off with the various phases of Hindi cinema (like movies in Nehruvian era, Muslim Social, etc.), my paper moves on to the rise of Hindutva in the late 1980s-early 1990s and explains how this has impacted the portrayal of Muslims in Hindi Cinema. I have studied three films in details - Roza (1992), Bombay (1995), and Fanaa (2006).

Participatory Behaviour of Indians in Using Facebook as a Platform for Political Engagement: This is a quantitative study of how Indians use Facebook as a platform for political engagement.

The Argumentative Youth (www.argyouth.com): My final semester project was an online platform of current affairs news minus the click bait. Here, I wrote detailed analysis of socio-political issues substantiating my claims with arguments and evidences.

Virtual Mouse Using Eye Blink: The purpose of this project, which I did with two of my other firends in my engineering final year, was mainly to help disabled people use computers. Blink your right eye and it's the right click of mouse. Blink your left eye and it's the left eye. Move the nose and the cursor on the screen moves. It was fun and taught me a bit about writing about technology.

Digital Marketing

I have been sharing my thoughts, stories, and ideas on my blog for the past 10 years. However, I purchased the domain name quite recently. SEO writing is comparatively new to me with just three years of experience. But in these three years, I have written, updated and reviewed so many articles and generated so much traffic that many experienced writers haven't. You don't believe me? One of the writers working under me has six years of experience.

Of all Social Media, Quora is the one I love the most. People on Quora have a certain purpose - they know what exactly they are looking for and hence, the conversion rate is higher.

During my Masters, we had to run a daily newspaper, under the guidance of renowned and experienced journalists. This has helped me develop a certain eye for news. I also continued writing news when I joined my present company. Despite my busy schedule as Editor, I still write news whenever possible.

Tools & Tech

Anything that is creative interests me. Also, I believe a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a must for bloggers and content writers. You can't rely on developers for minur issues.

As someone who is impact-driven, my work doesn't get over once I finish writing an article. I need to keep track of it constantly and see how it is performing.

Although just started, this is something I really want to master as I am absolutely in love with technical writing and writing documentations.

I am comfortable working with more than 40 Content Management Systems (CMS), including popular ones like WordPress and Ghost as well as with static site generators like Jekyll, Hugo, Hexo, and Gatsby..

Over the past three years, I have been experimenting with scores of SEO tools (both free and paid), be it for keyword research, website analysis, competitor analysis, plagiarism check, etc. Some of my favourite tools are:
